David and Andrea Ritchie were terrific hosts, and the accomodation were fabulous. Olivers is a destination property... I would make the trip to Clyde next time *just* to stay at Olivers. The entire property was laden with carefully thought-through, creative and classic detail -- which made the place charming, beautiful and functional. Breakfast was fantastic too. This was my 4th... Sadly only spent one night at Olivers but loved everything about it. We were touring the South Island of New Zealand with friends after our daughter's wedding in Queenstown and they had booked a night there as it was one they themselves at always wanted to stay at. It was a cold day when we arrived at Clyde and were... More

We were keen to spend some time in Central Otago after completing our cycling trip last year. Loved Clyde, so booked Oliver's for one night of our holiday. Our hosts, Andy and David were great.. Suites were gorgeous, breakfast beautiful. Our friends from Australia had another room and thoroughly enjoyed the experience as well. Top class

We really enjoyed our one night stay. We arrived about 4 pm and were greeted by our host and were treated to a cup of tea and a yummy bit of cake in the garden whilst enjoying the last of the sun's rays. Our room called the Tack Room was very quaint and cosy. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast served... More

What a treat it was to start our rail trail experience at Olivers. Andy and David have made Olivers a very special place to stay. The rooms and bathrooms are luxurious with superb attention to details. We certainly wanted to linger around the breakfast table and thoroughly enjoyed the baked eggs which we are all going home to cook. The... More

Tomorrow we start the rail trail. We were greeted by David and Andrea with hot tea and home baking - felt thoroughly welcomed. Lovely boutique rooms. Shame we are only staying one night. Location is fantastic, right in the middle of Clyde but quiet

We started our Otago bike trip here with a nights accommodation . From the moment we walked in the door we felt very welcome. Amazing smells of cooking lingered in the air!! Fabulous rooms with all details thought about. Had a great breakfast the next morning to set us up for Day 1 of our bike trip. It was great... More

From the warm & welcoming tea & cakes on arrival through to the top class accommodation everything was first class and provided us with a perfect ending to our 5 day rail trail cycle trip. The 4 of us had nothing but praise for our hosts and the history of the 1860's plus Fleur Sullivan's transformations make you feel part... More
