Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Reshma, was an absolute delight a perfect host. The house and gardens are beautifully maintained with a mix of eclectic pieces which just work giving a comfortable and homely feel. Reshma was able to give excellent F&B recommendations for our 3 night stay. Using the well maintained bikes was a real bonus. Many thanks Reshma your bubbly personality made our stay very enjoyable. Lovely Guesthouse with beautiful garden! Stylish and exquisite furnished rooms and the shared "livingroom" had plenty of amusement: games, large flatscreen tv, DVDs.. Good location, close to vineyards and local restaurants/pub. Very friendly and welcoming "landlady" who also prepared fabulous breakfast...

This B&B is in the perfect location for the vineyards and they have free loan of bicycles to make the most of touring around them, which is a fantastic benefit of staying here. The house is set in very pretty gardens. We had such a lovely welcome from Reshma and she is a very good host. She cooks a wonderful breakfast and gave great recommendation of where to visit in the area. We had one of the ensuite rooms which was very comfortable though as an FYI the coffee/tea facilities are shared and located in the hall.

A delightful English style Bed and Breakfast! Set in a beautiful heritage style home surrounded by stunning gardens! Flowers everywhere and a very serene environment! Reshma, the host was very helpful, her knowledge of the area is immense and she booked two local restaurants for us which were both amazing! We told Reshma that we were going to the laundromat, but she quickly said, don’t be silly, I will do your washing. Upon our return our clothes were drying on the line in the Marlborough sun! Our rooms were very comfortable, and the beds were great! Our breakfasts were delicious, big old fashioned English breakfasts! Eggs, bacon, sausage, rosti and cooked tomatoes, lots of toast, including gluten free toast for me! Reshma even gave us a bowl of the homemade salsa! So yummy with our eggs! There were four in our group, we had one room downstairs with ensuite, and one upstairs with ensuite! The back verandah and lawn are the perfect place to have a quiet drink before heading out for dinner! And a great way to meet the other guest and have conversations to discover that six degrees of separation! There were free push bikes and I am sad that no one in our group wanted to ride!

This is a wonderful grand period house set in a lovely garden. While located less than 15 minutes out of Blenheim, it's actually close to many of NZ's leading vineyards. Reshma, your hostess, is very attentive and knowledgable about the area and delighted in giving us excellent suggestions for us to get the most out of our stay. Bicycles of every size are available free of charge and mostly well developed bike paths and country lanes allow you to bike to the various vineyards for wine tasting and meals. Reshma lives off site and the house comprises various room sizes and facilities for guests. There is a wonderful communal sitting room, but the seating outside on the gorgeous veranda with a view over the garden was my favourite spot in the late afternoon. Breakfast is available in whatever form you wish in the open plan kitchen/dining area with views out over the east facing garden. I tried to be strong but eventually my standard muesli & yoghurt breakfast gave way to the delights of a solid cooked breakfast.

Beautiful surroundings and atmosphere in wine country. Reshma is a great host and very knowledgeable about the area. She does a delicious breakfast to start off your day too. The setup of furniture and antique ware matches the colonial style cottage. A pleasant stay and we will be back 😊

Having finished the QCT in Picton, we took a taxi to Anglesea house! This place is amazing! Beautiful, with huge attention to detail, every comfort and just what we needed after our bike ride! Plenty of secure storage of bikes and bike boxes!!! Reshma our host was just delightful! She looked after us very well and cooked us the most fabulous breakfasts! She even helped us with transport to the Omaka Heritage museum! The vineyards were in easy access and her recommendation of Wairau River for lunch was spot on! We have already booked again for April!

we recently had the good fortune of booking this amazing property to use as our base to travel to a family wedding and also visit the amazing local wineries. perfectly situated to access all the area has to offer. clean, tidy , spacious , amazing gardens and breakfasts that set you up perfectly for the day. But the real hidden gem of the property was our host, Reshma was a hosting phenomenon. We left there feeling and knowing we had a friend for life. I cant recommend this property enough.

My wife and I stayed at the Anglesea House for 3 days in the off-season. Reshma went above and beyond to help make our stay as comfortable and positive as possible. She (and Jay) was exceptionally hospitable and accommodating to any of our needs and preferences. She communicated quickly and accurately for anything we needed and about our arrival and departure. The food was amazing and Reshma was super flexible to our schedules as to when we would like to eat each morning, as we were the only guests at the time, being the off-season and shortly after quarantine. I would recommend the Anglesea house to anyone and will only stay here when visiting Marlborough. The house is right in the middle of Renwick and incredibly accessible to all of the wineries and much closer to most wineries than being in Blenheim. The fact that breakfast and the use of her bikes is in the cost of the stay, this was a spectacular deal. We also enjoyed meeting and playing with her dog and new puppy! It was also quite close to two great restaurants that we’d definitely recommend - Cork & Keg for English pub style setting with elevated cuisine and Arbour for a splurge pre-fixe menu that was absolutely amazing! Thanks for everything, Reshma! - Jason (and Robin)
