We were there at the start of winter. We only had a tiny heater to heat the whole unit, then the motel ran out of hot water in the morning and my partner had to have a cold shower. Definitely the worst place we stayed on our south island tour. more

This is a very basic motel and there aren't many other options for accommodation in the area. It had dated furnishings but was clean and fine for the one night I stayed there. With a view of the highway 5m from your room and decaying decor that would be perfect for a 70s horror film set i have no doubt that this is the worst and biggest ripoff place that i have ever stayed. This gives NZ a bad name and is basic profitering as accomodation in this region is scarce. more
