I was uncomfortable at this motel. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, but that didn't make up for the crummy room---It was very no-frills, 1 star. And the beds..They were the kind of bed you could throw a bowling ball on, and then duck for cover as it bounces back at you at the same force you threw it.... more

We were lucky enough to nab the last room of the A1 Rata Grove at the last minute. It's a lovely little motel, and the owner is as nice as she can be. 10 ground floor units and a very friendly welcome from Anne and John. A good budget, no frills motel, fair sized room with fridge, coffee, and great views of the mountains. 2 mins to high street with plenty of restaurants and shops. very pleasant and peaceful here. more
