Tree House is a run down and dirty overpriced beach bungalows. The website oversells this unique accommodation set up. The staffs are very friendly and try their best to make up for the dilapidated state of the place. Beach front bungalows have drop toilets only (Supposedly composting!) Windows has mosquito screens with large holes in them making them ineffective. Generator gives you power and light from 5.30pm to 10.30pm. There were no ceiling fans and you have to use a portable lamp for the bathroom. Watching staff stuggle with heavy bags up a very small spiral staircase is something you do see in other hotels!
Tours are the only highlight, manager Warren is a natural as a tour guide and operator, we had a great day tour of the local area including PNG lifestyles and local industry. (Eel feeding and the local swimming hole were highlights.)
