Other than no chest of drawers, small (but certainly adequate) room size, and the smallest shower I've ever seen, what a great little place! Back in the 60s our family used to go on road trips following the CSULA basketball team and we'd stay in little (non-chain) motels for the night. This little place reminded me of that. Well maintained,... more

Location is excellent for those wanting to walk to Temple Square and doing genealogical research at the Family History Library. Ten minute walk. A basic, clean motel if you just want a place to sleep and relax at times while going about the city. Wireless internet access was available with your own laptop, but unless your room is close to... more

We stay in this hotel for years now, it is good enough for what we need, once we don't go to SLC to be in the Hotel. Is close to the Conference Center, to the Temple Square and everything that we need for the LDS Church. Just walk a few steps... The bathroom is smail, yes, but this is not... more

GREAT LOCATION The City Creek Inn is definitely in a great location. It is near downtown SLC and many areas of the city. I walked to Temple Square, the Family History Library, The SLC Convention Center/Hall, other hotels and restaurants. The rooms are moderate in size and provide a television, phone and there is a continental breakfast in the office.... more

'Whatever' is exactly what I thought when my Mom said we would be in a motel the first day of our trip, then when I saw the place my attitude changed, but NOT for the better. The neon sign was silly and obnoxious, the 'ambience' made me think of crack dealers, they needed to repaint the motel desperately. When we... more

Ok, let me start by saying I'm a pretty reasonable guy. And when the transformer blew up and the power was out until 12:30 a.m. (Read: No A/C) I can agree it really wasn't the motel's fault. But since it's not in a particularly safe area (I felt) none of the windows opened--and it was one of the hottest nights... more

I was in SLC to do research at the Family History Library so the location was perfect, only a couple of blocks to walk. The room was clean and comfortable, the desk people friendly and the wi-fi worked. The bathroom was old-fashioned and the shower very small, but it was clean and functional. There were beautiful roses blooming in front... more

This is a vintage 1950s "motor court" very conveniently located, across from Delta Center, two blocks from Temple Square, and about a quarter mile from the Amtrak depot. City Creek Inn is affordable and would work for families because single rooms can be converted to doubles by adding on an adjoining second bedroom. However, there is no pool or other... more

Definitely a good deal for the price. Keep in mind it's very basic, no frills, but it's comfortable and clean. The room was decently sized, and the retro motor inn style of the place gives it a bit of character. Excellent location near all the sights. Contrary to a prior review, there's sadly no cowboy to follow. But the sign... more

Motel is located only a block from the Delta Center. A great spot for out of towners to crash a night before a rock concert, and go snowboarding. Can't beat the low price of $40 a night. Staff were all very friendly, and helpful giving map directions plus extra towels. Compact rooms, and clean. more
