We stayed at Vertical Horizons/Treehouse paradise from 21-25 July 2008. I heard about the Oregon Treehouses on NW magazine, then viewed the websites. This property wasn't on the radar-no reviews, and it does not show up on a lot of web searches. What I can say-it's somewhat remote by many people's standards, but really-it's just 5 miles from Cave Junction. The layout is very nice-no noise carried from other treehouses. The hosts, Phil and Jody, have provided for excellent constuction standards, bathrooms and small refrigerators in the treehouses, very nice bath houses, an absolutley excellent breakfast, a cool pool & frisbee golf course...the list goes on. Other tree house resorts in the area are different-this one is serene, but activites are available like archery and art stuff. And this place is clean. Our kids ages 1,2,5,8 and 10 loved it, as did another family with kids ages 6 and 8. They have a nice grill, smores at night with the campfire, a couple of good... more
