I am writing this review to encourage everyone to be very careful when making a reservation at Out "n" About Treesort, due to our extremely dissappointing experience that happened this past weekend (August 8-10,2008). Firstly, I'd like to add that I made my reservation in October 2007. I saw this place on the Travel Channel and it looked very unique,... more

I am at a crossroads here. Treesort has it's charms, but the downside is quite real. Other reviewers touched on the lack of privacy and notable noise. They were correct. The bathrooms were a bit rough during my stay, rough enough to where I questioned whether I would shower at all in them. The dirt common areas with the wrecking... more

Reading the previous reviews compels me to comment. Yes, this place is REMOTE. We also were feeling a little apprehensive making the drive to it. Yes, there are a lot of lousy looking buildings on your way out there. I was definitely having second thoughts. But once we got there it didn't matter. The "compound" is very nice and the... more

My family and I (husband & kids ages 9 & 7) spent 3 nights at this resort. We had a great time and made awesome memories! We stayed in the Swiss Family Treehouse and overall enjoyed it. But beware, the local swing happens to be attached to this treehouse so you will have kids playing non stop (they do close... more

Treesort was even more charming than I had anticipated. Each treehouse is distinctive, so be sure to read the descriptions thoroughly and select one that meets your needs. Breakfast was great, and zip line and horseback riding are available on site as well. Loved it. more

The treesort is a family-friendly place that offers the beauty and peace of nature along with a little adventure. Equipped with zip lines, horse stables, horseshoe pits, a natural pool, and several arts classes like tye-dye making....it's got entertainment for parents and children. It has somewhat of a earth-loving, modern hippie feel to it. There is a community kitchen/laundry area... more

What a cool place to play! Seriously I was reading other reviews and if you think you can go stay in a treehouse and expect it too be super romantic with no kids, than this is obviously not the place for you. Be warned, it is a poverty area in oregon so the drive will be sad when you get... more

Loved the place. We stayed in the Tree Suite, excellent for families or sharing with another family. The deck is large and there is a view of the pool. Worth every penny. Also it is set the farthest back so the noise is minimal. The zip line was amazing and the guides were very nice and helpful. Breakfast in the... more

We had a wonderful experience at OutnAbout. Our 2 kids enjoyed every minute of their experience, and so did we. The pool was unique and fantastic and the rope swing was apparently by far every kids' favorite. Many families gather around the campfire at night sharing smores which makes it feel like a tiny community. We drove into town (about... more

I have wanted to stay at the treehouse hotel for years, and this was the year we made it happen. BUT there are things we would have liked to known in advance. The facility is very remote from anything and everything. The route in, is littered with derelict homes and abandoned cars. If we weren't so emotionally and financially committed... more
