This motel is now known as the University Inn and Suites. It is your average lower rent motel that for some reason lost its Super 8 affiliation. It is most convenient to Mexico via two bridges and it is three blocks to Downtown Brownsville with its numerous stores and restaurants, most of them being of the dollar store variety which actually makes for some interesting shopping. Downtown Brownsville is just like Mexico as it is teaming with Mexican shoppers. It is a great place to visit if one has become jaded by the mall experience. It is like going back in time. more
