We haven't been to Albuquerque since our honeymoon 35 years ago! We had a wonderful time at the rug auction on Friday night and then left for the Bottger. The Bottger Mansion is right in Old Town so walking distance to everything in Old Town Albuquerque as well as the Botanical Gardens, Aquarium and Turquoise Museum. The Mansion is beautifully appointed with Victorian furnishings but up to date plumbling and air conditioning. Kathy and Steve were welcoming providing a very tasty breakfast in their garden. My wife and I stayed one night at the Bottger Mansion. We were awsruck by Steve and Kathy Hiatt's warm welcome, friendliness, helpfulness and cheerful dispositions. After reading great reviews, I stayed at the Bottger and was not disappointed. The innkeepers were friendly but not overly, and my room (called Rebecca Leah) had a huge comfy bed and a huge private bath with jacuzzi jets. What is not to love? This was our 4th visit to Bottger House and every time we go, it simply gets better. We highly recommend the inn for the rooms, the hospitality, the breakfasts with the hummingbirds and all the other amenities that helped make our trip special. more
We spent a delightful afternoon, evening and early morning in Albuquerque at end of 10 day swing through New Mexico and the Bottger Mansion definitely added to our wonderful experience. Steve met us upon arrival, gave us great advice on catching the outstanding sight seeing Trolley and for the rest of the day. Kathy sent us off to the "Sunport"... more
