If we could have avoided this hotel, we would have. We were in town for a wedding, and it was the only place to stay. If you can stay anywhere else, I would. We had a no smoking room, and like another reviewer noted, there was an ashtray on the table in the room, and a distinct smell of smoke... more

When we pulled into the parking lot, I thought the place was deserted!!! There were metal strips hanging off the windows and several windows were cloudy. Exterior siding was in need of repair. I thought the windows were in the process of being cleaned, but discovered that the seal had broken on several windows. You couldn't see out of them!... more

Country Hearth Inn & Suites now known as King's Inn beautiful place to stay, Quiet, Clean and Courteous service. Easy excess from I-395. They also have Mexican Restaurant on premises. Their food is reasonably price and great. In the morning you get a complimentary breakfast brought to the room. We had enjoyed our stay and We will be back when... more

Staff was ok,and breakfast was excellent, but the room was an ice box,and tiny baseboard never warmed the room up at all.It was still Freezing in the morning. 10 hour stay was not given a discount either.$70 was way too high.Better prices, and warm rooms in other area hotels.. more

We were looking for the lowest rate for one night to see a performer at www.vanillabeancafe.com in Pomfret. This was a good alternative to the B&B's. Yes the place is in a time warp but we found the property and our room to be very clean and taken care of. It's in a convenient location for antique hunting and foliage... more

I've stayed here twice. No frills and relatively clean. Ad says there's a pool; I never saw one. Not bad for a one night stay, couldn't see vacationing here. more

Nothing has been done to this place since the original build date. The furniture was falling apart , the bedding had burnholes. We experienced the same problem of being told we had a nonsmoking room, but there was an ashtray and the room reeked. The front desk told us the room had been "ionized" before our stay. Fifty years of... more

Quaint and clean 60's-style long and low motel has beautiful grounds and was very quiet. Room was very large and really clean. Staff very friendly and delivered continental breakfast to our room at our designated time. Pub restaurant next door had good food and good prices. Easy access to I-395 more

Plus: The hotel had plenty of hot water. Front desk was friendly. Breakfast is brought to your room (no cooked food- .limited menu- simple breakfast of choice of fruit, bagel/toast) Restaurant/bar in the Inn. Minus: Was not billed the amount that was quoted with travelocity! Even though we had a non-smoking room, the room reeked of cigarettes. We had a... more
