This cozy bed and breakfast is within walking distance of some of the best views that we saw in Estes Park. After watching the sunset my fiance and I snuggled up by the fireplace and read to each other and took a tour through the historic Key Room. The staff is delightful and breakfast was served with a smile. Their... more

If you are young and poor, this is probably a decent place to stay. However my husband and I were celebrating our 25th anniversary and were severely disappointed. Our "room with a private bath" was cramped (just a double bed) and lacked a shower. We paid $125 a night and had to use the tiny shower down the hall because... more

The Inn is perfectly located for hiking and climbing in the Rocky Mountain National Park, at 9,000 ft. above Estes Park. The Inn is, quite justifiably, on the National Register of Historic Places. The rooms are basic and most don't have private baths. But the it drips with atmosphere and the young summer staff is attentive and willing. Breakfast is... more

What a cool place! We heard of an old movie called Seven Keys to Baldpate,so we had to check it out when in the area.very old Hotel with very reasonable rates. We went for dinner and a self guided walk through tour. Dinner was a buffet style with a soup, a stew, salad, drinks and appetizers only! But we were stuffed!... more

I booked my wedding reception at the Baldpate's library in 2005. I had a very hard time getting the owner, Lois, to agree to anything. I just wanted a few snacks and punch served at the reception, and she made it very difficult to arrange it. In the end, my husband and I brought our own food!!! We booked the... more

After reviewing our after-event notes from this wedding I was very surprised at the major disappointments expressed here more than two years later. On the day of the event this bride and groom repeatedly expressed their satisfaction to my staff and events manager. In the more than 20 years of assisting with wedding celebrations, we at The Baldpate Inn have...

A last minute road trip to Rocky Mt. National Park in September was a great decision. No crowds, lots of elk and mule deer and the aspen were turning gold before our eyes. We found the Baldpate Inn and enjoyed both nights we stayed. The beds are comfy with wonderful linens, hot showers and clawfoot tubs, big fireplace, amazing breakfasts... more

The Baldpate Inn was a happy find for us on Route 7 just south of Estes Park. Too bad we could only stay one night. Great atmosphere, watching the "7 Keys to Baldpate" movie was a treat, the breakfast was tasty, and there is good hiking nearby. We recommend it highly. more

On our recent trip to Estes Park, we were looking for a romantic place to have a good meal and ended up at The Baldpate Inn. They didn’t disappoint! The view of town was amazing, the service was wonderful, and the food was simply amazing. We didn't know if we would get full eating soup and salad, but by the... more

Stay far, far away from this restaurant. My family and I (5 people) chose to eat dinner here, and were advised that reservations were necessary. After eating there, I can't imagine why. To begin with, the cost: for five people, dinner, which was soup and salad bar only, was over 85 US dollars. The service was nonexistent, and rodents were... more

We stayed in a three bedroom cabin, which was roomy. There was a big fireplace, which we used every night. I can't say enough about the courteous staff at the inn. They were friendly and informative when asked for help. The food in the dining room was excellent. Breakfast was a real treat. I bought the Baldpate Collections book at... more
