Taking time to stay at this historic bed and breakfast is refreshing! Set on the side of a mountain and overlooking Estes Park the warm hospitality, excellent 3 course breakfast is wonderful. The simplicity is refreshing as well...warm cookies from the oven and a toasty fire is a nice end to the evening. Look forward to returning! More

We had a wonderful stay in the Valley View 3-bedroom cabin. 2 parents, 2 teens, 1 grandma. Very comfortable. Just perfect. Can't wait to return. More

We arrived at the Baldpate after hiking 10 miles and were starving. They have a wonderful soup and salad bar, but all my husband and I wanted was a pizza. We were hiking from B & B to B & B, so we didn't have our car. The owner as well as the front desk staff went out of their... More

Our lives are hectic with two young children and when we escaped to Estes Park, we were pleasantly surprised by The Baldpate Inn. We stayed in the main lodge and soaked up all of the simple nuances of the place from the cozy fireplaces, porch swings, creaking-rolling floors, rustic styling and "take a step back to simpler times" room decorations... My husband and I had a small double bed with tiny bathroom; we chose not to use the tub. The bed sheets were fine but everything else in the room was old, dingy, and the room was far too small for two people. We did peek in to a larger Queen room and it probably would have been fine. Breakfast... More

Stayed here in the middle of a hiking trip. The staff which is comprised of college students was very helpful to take care of anything we needed. If you are looking for a Westin or a Hilton you don't want to come here but I believe that is what makes it a unique place. Except for 2 rooms I believe there... More

The Baldpate Inn treated us like family with luxury service and superb food and atmosphere! The view of the Estes Park Valley was amazing with the changing Aspen colors! Relaxing on their 1917 deck, with our complimentary beverages, brought us back in time and allowed for complete relaxation. Wildlife viewing and hiking opportunities around the Inn are abundant! Baldpate Inn is a historic inn that has seen better days. The floors are bowed, the room we stayed in was not designed for a king bed, and I bumped my head on the angled gable ceiling that was over the king bed. (A twin bed would have worked in the room) Heavy smoke from the fireplace on the main... More

The Baldpate is like a club - one runs into people one has seen there for years, if you are staying there tea and such and cookies are provided as needed on the porch or in the library (where one can play games and watch TV) , the Park is but a stroll away and the view is spectacular. I... More

The location of the Baldpate Inn is certainly picturesque, though a hefty drive from the town of Estes Park. We paid a premium for a cabin which, unfortunately, did not have any of the views supposedly offered by the cheaper rooms in the main building. The place is entirely staffed by students, who were incredibly helpful and friendly but there... More
