Rockmount Cottages is a nice lodging choice for those looking for a property that's mid-priced, clean, comfortable, and well located (it's located near the Beaver Meadows entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park, but also not far from the heart of downtown Estes Park). Ken and Carol who manage the property are like a favorite aunt and uncle, making sure you feel very welcome and have everything you need. Rockmount seems to be principally designed for families, although a couple not requiring uber seclusion would also enjoy it. The place is reasonably quiet, yet offers something for the kids to do while you read a book on the front porch. There's a centrally located playground that several families took advantage of while we were there. The property is also adjacent to the pretty, rollicking Big Thompson River where a nice, big lawn area invites guests to enjoy time along the river.
