Great location for visiting Brown University. The B&B seems rather small from the outside, but the hallway and room was actually quite spacious. A lovely man helped us to carry our bags up a flight of stairs and helped us to modify a "foreign to the US"-plug, which was very much appreciated. Breakfast was OK. We were unsure how breakfast... Great location, solid service and lots of charm - a recommendable place to stay. Check-in was friendly and a staff member seemed to always be available for us if we needed them. We stayed in the Marple room which was well-decorated, very well-maintained and larger than it looked in the website's photos. The bathroom had all the usual amenities and... More

We stayed 2 nights at this charming B&B. Stayed in the Empire room and the Nightingale room and loved the cosy settings on both nights. Hearty breakfast is a plus! Not the cheapest stay one can find in Providence but well worth every penny. Highly recommended. More

Stayed here many times. The neighborhood is redolent of the days of Poe and H. P. Lovecraft who both frequented the area at different times. "The Shunned House," Lovecraft's masterepoeice is actually located right across the street. Poe's favorite churchyard and many wonderful examples of unique architecture are within easy walking distance. The Old Court, a one-time rectory for the... More

Old cout B and B is a nice old house. It is very convenient to Brown University. Our room was fine. The beds weren't comfortable. The linens were fine but not luxurious. It seemed clean. The bathroom was limited on space. I had to put my cosmetic bag on the floor. The air conditioner was a wall unit that either... More

We're a couple of nerds who were in Providence for the HP Lovecraft walking tour, and the Old Court is right on the route, in the prettiest part of the city. It's a beautiful old building, full of beautiful old furniture. Everything was clean and comfortable--we stayed in the "Country" room and loved the mattress, the bathroom, the view of... More

I had a wonderful weekend stay at the Old Court B&B last month and can't wait to go back! The location is fantastic - nestled within the beautiful historic district and within easy walking distance of the universities, RISD museum, and plenty of dining and entertainment options. The B&B itself is very clean and comfortable, with all the modern conveniences,... More

Our getaway girls have traveled the USA for 24 years and found our experience at the Old Court and Providence to be one of the best. Comfortable conditions with a considerate staff and lovely ambiance in a great location. Thanx, Max More

My husband and I picked out the Old Court B&B based on it being mentioned on the hplovecraft.com website. Everything about the place definitely met or exceeded our expectations. The neighborhood is absolutely lovely, and the hotel is in close proximity to historical areas and nice restaurants. We stayed in the Empire room downstairs, which we picked out based on... More
