This hotel is a great deal for the nightly rate. It is very close to the city and Johnson & Wales University. My room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was great! I would recommend this hotel!

No one was at the front desk to greet me at check-in. I called for a wake up call for about an hour before I reached someone. The people in the next room had no consideration for others, blasting music at 2am.

Nice hotel, room was clean and modern, staff were helpful and pleasant to deal with. Valet parking was a bit expensive ($25 a night) and I expected to be complimentary being a downtown location. Easy access to the Theatre (reason for our stay) and local restaurants. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

This Hampton Inn is great! It's a quick walk to the shops + restaurants + bars downtown. The service is also great. We loved our suite with a pretty comfortable king size bed, wet bar, microwave and refrigerator. The complimentary breakfast each morning was excellent, as well as the coffee/tea and cookies counter every afternoon. Walking distance to Brown University and just steps from amazing restaurants!!

Since I ride Amtrak often across the U.S., I look for hotels within walking distance, comp shuttle or short taxi ride. I found the Hampton Inn Downtown Providence, RI to be just what I needed. Stay away from this location because the streets are extremely noisy (people laughing and honking cars at each other) and the room itself has an AC which makes a lot of rattling noise. The only redeeming part is the good complementary breakfast - I just loved the oatmeal raisins - one of the best I have seen served anywhere.

Excellent, clean and secure hotel. The staff members are top-notch. The only semi complaint that I can think of is the garbage truck that empties the dumpsters during the middle of the night; however, this is probably an area the hotel has no control over.

If you've stayed at Hampton Inn's before then this hotel won't be a significant surprise to you, but it is definitely one of the nicer Hampton Inn's out there.
