This is like staying in the hotel they based the 'Disney Tower of Terror' ride on. Yes, it is dated but that is the charm of the place. It is historic, not run down or past it's prime as others would have you believe. The staff were excellent, very helpfull. McCormick & Schmick's is the restaurant which is quite simply... more

I’ll add to the chorus of constructive criticism. I booked a Labor Day vacation with Expedia.com and had no problem with my reservation. It all started from the moment I stepped up to the front desk to check-in. I realize I arrived before the usual 3:00 p.m. check in. I was pre-checked in and told by front desk agent that... more

From the moment I stepped out of my car on Friday to the moment I drove off on Sunday I was treated like royality at the Biltmore! It was exceptional service from the entire staff and I can not wait to return there in January for my next convention! more

Booked this hotel several months ago in July at what I thought was a very good rate. Then with less than 24 hours notice I get a call from them stating that OOPS YOUR RESERVATION WAS OVERBOOKED. They must have gotten a better offer. No help with finding another place -- I am stuck 5 miles away from my 5... more

I hated my experience, will never come back. rooms weren't ready until 7 PM!!! The rooms are old and outdated, my junior suite's A/C didn't work and I didn't want to bother anyone because I don't even know if its something that can be fixed, it seemed to be the original A/C unit they installed when they built the building... more

My stay at the Biltmore was based on the location of the hotel and that it was the only hotel I could find room availablility on the dates I was there. I was told the hotel was beautiful and it certianly is. Check in was very courtious and quick. Parking in a downtown area is always tough so the added... more

The Biltmore is more elegant than the Super 8s and Holiday Inns we usually stay in, but my husband and I had had our wedding reception at the Biltmore (then Omni Biltmore) in 1990 when we lived in Providence, and we thought it would be nice to go back, albeit with our young kids. Our wedding reception had been in... more

We stayed one night so that our high school student could tour Brown University. The hotel is about a 3 - 5 minute drive from campus. The hotel is on the national historical register, and still has some of the ambiance you would expect from such a hotel. The lobby is impressive, and the staff is friendly. We had a... more

Thank you for sharing your comments regarding the positive experience you had during your stay at the Providence Biltmore. The Providence Biltmore was built in 1922 with the design of New York architects Warren and Wetmore, whose other commissions included Grand Central Station; the building’s unique v-shaped design afforded all guests an outside room. In the 1930’s and 40’s The...

We were part of a wedding party and took up most of the 15th floor for 2 nights, a Friday and a Saturday. In total, we had at least 10 rooms. They ranged from the largest suite to the least expensive rooms. The quality of the rooms was varied. Some were good and some were bad. Our room was a... more

We had an excellent stay at the Providence Biltmore over the July 4th holiday weekend. The room was clean and comfortable. While not one of the renovated rooms, we got a great rate through a travel website, so we were very pleased with what we got. The staff was attentive and available. The location is perfect and convenient to see... more
