My husband and I spent two nights in "The Narrows" and the views from the windows were wonderful! We could see the boats in the harbor and the seals playing in the currents near Campobello Island. The staff and owner are so welcoming and the food is excellent. We chose to eat in the tavern both nights as the haddock... More

We spent two nights in the Narrows Suite, which had a great view for seal-watching and was overall very comfy and roomy. But your enjoyment of this room really depends on who is staying in the upstairs rooms. The floors are wooden, creaky and uninsulated, so anyone walking around up there makes loud tromping noises; voices also carry down, not... More

We stayed in Lubec for two nights. We ate dinner at Water Street the first night and is good enough to try a second night. The lobster Mac is quite good, as are the broiled scallops, but don't miss put on the Moqueca. It a fish site sort of thing with veggies and rice. Very tasty and worth a try.... More

My husband and I enjoyed our recent stay at the Water Street Tavern and Inn. We decided to change our hiking plans due to the pouring rain so arrived significantly early. Where this is such a small establishment, the checkin area is the restaurant, which only opens at 4pm. Despite that, we found a very accomodating young man who said... More

My friends and I are rather well-traveled and picky. We expect a lot for our money, and the Water Street Tavern and Inn in Lubec, Maine was wonderful, and not only met our expectations, but exceeded them. First and foremost, if you're looking for a pretentious Bed and Breakfast experience, you would be in the wrong place-- both at Water... More

My wife and I had no idea what to expect when we made our reservations for a one-night stay. Lubec is struggling economically but you would not know if from the packed bar and dining room where we enjoyed fresh main lobsters for $20 each. We stayed in the Narrows Suite. Highly recommended. It is on the ground floor with... More

Spent a week here because I was attending a workshop. This little inn had everything I needed to make my stay in Lubec a pleasant one. First of all, you should know that Lubec is a very small town that closes every night about 9. It's so close to Canada, my cell phone thought my calls were international. Cell phone... More

We spent one night (unexpectedly) at the Water Street Tavern & Inn and loved it! As a matter of fact, we were staying the next night across the street and wished we could have stayed another night at Water Street. Our room was cozy and comfortably furnished, the great room had an amazing view, and the carrot muffins were worth... More
