Just got back from a whirlwind business trip to the Southwest. Found La Siesta on Trip Advisor and decided to give it a try as a break from the humdrum of hotels/business travel. Steve and Todd (and Rusty!!) couldn't be more gracious hosts - our room was clean, kitschy and comfortable. And did I mention how affordable it was? I... more

My visit to La Siesta has been a fun enjoyable experience. The service is quite welcoming and will take good care of your needs. The salt water pool is great option when the weather permits and a grass area to relax and/or play games on. I will refer my friends and family to La Siesta and will be back for... more

I stayed at La Siesta while visiting family in Tucson. During my stay, I felt like La Siesta had become my "Home Away From Home!" I was given a genuinely warm welcome by the owners, who accomodated my every need. This vintage motel was the perfect place to relax...in my room, sitting outside at the ramada, or by the pool.... more

This sweet place has so much to offer to travelers looking for something off the beaten path of soulless, industrially packaged chain hotels. For the retro enthusiast, Iit's reminiscent of the classic Route 66 motels of the 30s and 40s, beautifully restored. And that neon sign! For those interested in local culture, it's located very near Tucson's vibrant downtown and... more

Been meaning to write up another short review of our stay there on our 10th anniversary. My partner and I decided to celebrate with a short trip to Tucson to see Andrew Bird in concert, diner at Poca Cosa and a night at our favorite motel in Tucson. We where treated with a wonderful custom card, chocolates and chilled bottle... more

We recently had the very good fortune of finding and expercing the incrediable enviroment of the fun, sheik , renovated retro 1940 moter lodge, La Siesta.Enjoying cool beverages in the cozy center courtyard and a refreshing dip in the pool make the Tucson sunsets that much more magicale. Our rooms were uniquely decorated and the very sof t linens, fluffy... more

Once again our stay could not be better. We just love this joint. Clean as could be and the best night of sleep I have had in a long time. I love roadside motels and this is the best hands down. Steve is the best. Its like being at home when Im 2,300 miles from home. The most exciting part... more

We had a wonderful time. Everything was great. I can see why it wouldn't be for everyone, because it lacks the amenities and slickness of a chain, which is why we loved it. The owner and staff are terrific, everything worked. My only tiny criticism would be that we could have used a night stand next to the bed for... more

This little place is a cut above other motels in the price bracket. It's spotlessly clean, the rooms have some design flair and retro styling, the manager/owener was unbelievably friendly and helpful (he printed out restaurant details and gave us lots of soft drinks on arrival), the pool and garden terrace are pleasant and the location is perfect for the... more

I came to La Siesta because of the crazily wonderful reviews I'd read on Tripadvisor. Here's the stuff that I found to be bang on. Friendly and helpful staff. Outside and courtyard is nicely redone. Rooms are quiet and clean. In a part of town close to the interstate and easy to get to other places around. It was clean,... more
