We were at this resort for a business recognition trip. It offers a spa (lap pool for those using the spa), pool and a lazy river (small, not elaborate like at other resorts). There is a large patio outside the downstairs bar with couches, chairs and multiple fire pits for the evening. The hotel is immaculate and offers a golf... more

I attended a large business convention; disappointed with fair small room and bathroom; fair pool with all umberllas being broken, 2 nites good dinner convention food (1 buffet & 1 sit down)and 2 nites poor overcooked cold buffet food; hot buffet breakfasts were cold; cold hors overes at a cocktail party (they were not prepared fresh); excellent Primo restaurant; very... more

We stayed at this resort for a corporate function. I must say the rooms were pretty typical for a Marriott, beds comfortable, nice linens, nice robes. The rooms were moderate in size as well as the bathrooms. The hotel is very nice, a bit too isolated for me. You would need to have a car to enjoy the sites of... more

Stayed over Labor Day weekend. Check in was a breeze-we requested early check in and it was it granted. We requested a King bed and a rollaway and request was granted. We opted for self parking at $10.00/night. It is a hike to the garage if your room is off the the lobby and to the right. We had room... more

As most of the previous reviews have stated, the JW Marriott in Tucson is very nice. For Marriott, JW is their high end chain, and the Tucson hotel lives up to its name. The building and interiors are quite nice, and the finishes are very upscale. Lobby is grand, well appointed. The guest rooms are very nice, not overly large,... more

I stayed 5 nights for a conference and it was a wonderful property. The property is about 3 years old and the rooms (especially the bed!) was very comfortable. Good climate control in the rooms, too. Several swimming pools and a "lazy river" were great diversions when I had spare time. The hot stone massage was heavenly and the spa... more

We live in the Phoenix area and often travel to Tucson for weekend getaways. This was our first stay at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort. We loved it. Everything from start to finish was stellar. Staff was great, room was pretty, clean, and ready for us at check-in. We stayed two nights and never left the property. Had dinner... more

I stay at many different hotels a year due to my occupation. Usually, I stay at Hilton's and Marriott's. My bip this time took me to Tucson. I thought everything about this Resort was first class. The landscaping, the architecture, the interior decorating was all top quality. The room is roomy and at least 4/5 in an overall comparison to... more

My wife and I stayed at the Starr Pass resort to attend a marriage enrichment seminar. When I booked the room, I reserved on Marriott's website as I am a member of their frequent stay club. When I arrived to check in, I was told I would be staying in a double room. When I reserved the room, I reserved... more

We loved this hotel. The hotel, landscaping, and views were beautiful. Our room was fairly good size, but the bathroom was huge - separate shower and tub, large vanity. Unlike a lot of hotels, the bathroom was well stocked with towels and washclothes. The "river/water slide" pool was great - our 8-year-old daughter loved it, but it was also set... more
