Overall, a very nice experience. We stayed for three nights while visiting a niece at the U of AZ. My only caution - there is a very nice outside area just off the bar - beautiful fire pits and heating lamps with a wonderful view of the lights of Tuscon. The problem is that it can get loud at night... more

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this resort. It is relatively new (last 5-10 yrs), and our suite was spacious and delightful. We were surprised by the ice skating rink and multiple pools. However, I was disappointed with all of the hidden extras. Internet was $12.95/day, parking was $10 for self and $20 for valet, and the restaurants... more

I am a lifetime Platinum Marriott traveler (disclaimer!). JW nestled in foothills with a golf course as perimeter. Large outdoor pool with a lazy river and small water slide. Extremely pleasant and helpful staff. I had what is likely their standard room, good amount of space and nicely fitted. Adequate exercise room, steam room, and lap pool. Very good happy... more

This was our second family holiday vacation at the Marriott Starr Pass (our first was in 2007), and I would highly recommend this resort. We considered trying the new Ritz Carlton Dove Mountain, but we did not feel that we "suffered" by comparison, in staying at this resort. Also, the rates here were more reasonable at the time we booked,... more

Two families with kids in low teens, we stayed over New Years and enjoyed the Marrioot at Star Pass very much. Great location outside Tucon, with outdoor pool, view over the city below and great trails starting right from the resort. beautiful 27 hole golf course. more

We had a four day conference here, and it's great - we could escape to the pool or the lazy river when it got too much. The food was excellent, despite catering for a very large group. Service was impecable, rooms were large and comfy, the gym was great too. My favourite part was the lazy river. Could have easily... more

JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort and Spa was my home for four days. As always my disclaimer; I’m a meeting planner, so the review is from that perspective, both positive and items that need addressing. Checked in on Sunday, October 18 and out today, the 21st. My room was 5465 on the fifth floor, overlooking the city , Salud (lobby... more

The resort is situated in a lovely area north of the Tucson airport. The designers incorporated a lot of natural elements into the resort, and the result was Sonoran-style beautiful. Everything was neat and clean, and the amenities in the rooms were adequate. However, I believe the rooms were overpriced, even after our conference discount. There was nothing spectacular about... more
