We stayed 4 nights. The first room was not very satisfactory, with a poor bed as the main problem. We switched rooms, and had quite a different experience. That room and bed were totally fine. So there is a problem with consistency within the property. The location is great...near shopping, movies, restaurants and pretty centrally located for tourist sites, etc.... more

Having read the reviews here, I had some idea what to expect, and the place pretty much lived up to my expectations. I normally visit Tucson 1-2 times per year to visit my parents who live very close by. I used to stay at the Sheraton across the road, but with the lower £ and a longer stay for this... more

The outside of the hotel is nicer than the inside. It's not horrible - just a little outdated and worn. It's in a decent area of town with a CVS and IHOP across the street. The biggest complaint I have is that the bed was rock hard and I woke up with back pain throughout the night. Also, housekeeping came... more

I was staying at this hotel four years ago in a business trip but now with my family, it has a great location in a nice and quiet area. The staff at the front desk was very helpful and very professional. My room had a nice kitchen with all the necessary to cook a good meal, we had an IHOP... more

I'm a former Tucson resident who lived not far from this location, so perhaps not surprisingly this is where I generally stay when I go back to visit. Unless you're on a budget, it's probably not the best place for a first-time vacation trip to Tucson, as its east-Midtown location doesn't have the charm and/or scenic beauty of some other... more

I stayed here for one week while attending a class at the University of Arizona. I got wireless internet ($5 extra), a full kitchen, and helpful staff for only $53/night. The kitchen was the best part: a full-size refrigerator, microwave, sink, stove, and cabinets including dinnerware and utensils for two people. I initially had a little trouble setting up my... more

As the closest hotel to the Tucson Medical Center, we were pleasantly surprised that the cost was very reasonable and the rooms were so well equipped. While we had no need for all the amenities, If one was staying awhile, it would be almost like being home. Also, for the price it was very clean and well maintained. In the future, I... more

After looking over the model room we decided to book a room for 2 weeks. It looked clean enough no frills but clean and nice with the small kitchen with stove top, microwave and fridge.Upon checking into our room it smelled like stale smoke, was very dusty and had crumbs on the chairs. Feeling that we could deal with and... more

When I drove up to the hotel, it looked really seedy and there were dubious looking people loitering the parking lot and street and the office is very hard to find --- hidden from view. When I tried to check in using my Priceline info. The girl at the front desk refused to check me in even though she received... more

Clearly this hotel is geared for the long-term business traveler who wants a basic, no-frills room at the lowest possible price. I got a fantastic rate through Priceline (less than half the normal rate), which definitely made the stay worthwhile. I'm not sure that I would recommend Extended Stay America at the normal rack rate. It was obvious to me... more
