I saw the bad reviews but frankly, the price was better than most hotels in this price range so I took a chance. I was very pleasantly surprised! The hotel is definitely a little dated. It looks like it was a terrific hotel at one point, but the carpets and furnishings are getting a little old. The air conditioner in... more

Overall this hotel is a great value, located directly next to the Tucson Convention Center, and downtown shops. My young childern enjoyed the pool deck and other hotel admenities. Service overall was outstanding. I would highly recomend as i will be staying there again myself. more

I am the guy who wrote a review of the Embassy Suites in San Antonio. I stayed at the Hotel Arizona on my way back home to Phoenix from that trip (Fourth of July visit to my son in Austin). I am a University of Arizona graduate so I was already familiar with the property, having eaten in their restaurant... more

After 3 trips to the front desk, I finally got a room that was "clean." Basically this meant the dirty towels had been picked up, and the beds were made. There was still trash in the trash can, but I was tired of the attitude at the front desk that I was inconveniencing them at 4 in the afternoon trying... more

I stayed at the Hotel Arizona for one night and I almost missed my flight out because of them. I called the front desk for a taxi to the airport 20 minutes before I checked out. I checked out at 8:00 and the taxi was to be there at 8:05. Nothing arrived despite my repeated requests for the front desk... more

This Hotel is horrable @ taking reservations. I had my reservations for six months in advance and they canciled them, without letting me know. I would not stay here again if you paid me. more

I just returned from a stay at the Hotel Arizona. I was part of a conference located at the property and stayed there for convenience. After first arriving I was disappointed to see the hotel was dated and didn't seem to be at the same level as a typical Hilton or Marriott. The room was subpar... the sheets were old... more

The location of the hotel is nice. The hotel is next door to La Placita Village--interesting little shops and restaurants, and easy walking distance to a number of good restaurants and bars. I found the staff to be very friendly. I noticed that some of the reviews mentioned that the staff seemed to consist of mostly 20-somethings (this seemed true... more

I have to say that the only thing going for this hotel is the building layout,The Coyote Cafe in the Lobby area and the fact that it does have attractions close by.I stayed at the hotel with a group.Everyone had there own rooms. Some had amenities that others did'nt.I had no fridge, microwave, working heater(for when I'm out of the shower),or prompt housekeeping.The... more

I read all the negative reviews about this hotel but I gave it a try anyway. I wonder if those people stayed at the same hotel as they described. I found this hotel to be clean, in a great location and a fairly good rate. I did not book the cheapest room but noticed on their website that they had... more
