I shared a 2 bedroom 2 bath cabin with my mom while attending a knitting retreat hosted by Cat Bordhi (an amazing instructor and person). The staff, accomodations and property were wonderful. I attended a five-day retreat at Lakedale with some friends, and we stayed in one of the log cabins. My stay at Lakedale was wonderful. The location, beside a lake on San Juan Island, is beautiful. The main room in the lodge offeres floor to ceiling (20 feet or so) views of the lake and the gounds. Cat Bordhi's 2009 Knitters Retreat invaded the hotel for a few days. This place is SO awesome! Beautiful inside. Beautiful outside. Convenient to must-see places on the island. So well maintained!
