Having spent one year in Japan and visited a number of onsen (Japanese hot spring spas), I have a high standard for these kinds of places. 10,000 Waves is on the same level as the best Japanese onsen, with the additional benefit of being touched in a thoughtful way by the art and culture of New Mexico. Incredible rooms, some... More

Outside of the main area of Santa Fe, so it is quiet and peaceful. You will need to drive to restaurants in town, but that is a small matter if you are going for a getaway and down time. Walk up the hill to the spa and find relaxation...the spa is truly world class. More

--terrible customer service after I cut my foot open on their pool-- Was already a tad disappointed by the fact that the swank surroundings only offered a single hottub, tiny cold dip pool and wee sauna. ( we've been to much nicer spas in Quebec, Spain, and banff) Then I went to the bathroom and noticed my sandal was filled... More

I visited Ten Thousand Waves on a mother-daughter trip. I had heard rave reviews from friends who had visited, but was skeptical. I was happily surprised - TTW was one of the most relaxing, original, peaceful places I have ever stayed! From the moment you check in (a relaxing, no-rush experience) to the moment you check out (also refreshing as... More

We have been to Ten Thousand Waves many times. One of my goals is to travel to Japan some day, but until then, I have TTW. We usually shop in Santa Fe, get a nice meal, then head up to TTW to soak and sauna at night. We have not stayed as a guest or had a massage there yet.... More

This was our second stay at Ten Thousand Wsves and it was even better than the first stay which was fabulous. Stayed six days and I have not been this relaxed in years. Everything from the rooms to the staff is top notch. More

The setting is very different from the other hotels in Santa Fe and that makes it both unique and special. The grounds are gorgeous, the rooms spacious and comfortable, and the products at the spa are just wonderful. My treatment at the spa was one of the best I have had. Definitely recommend a night here to unwind and relax. More

I had a massage and a yasuragi. great techniques, very professional, definitely worth the price. very expensive, but the ambience of the palce makes it worth the rpice. The massage room upstairs could be quieter. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with towels and supplies. Cons: Nudity. This is a place for a few people to express their perversions.... More

I've been going to Santa Fe for about 15 years. My folks had a place there, so I always had somewhere to stay. When my husband and I celebrated our anniversary in Santa Fe for the first time since my folks moved out of state, there was no question that we wanted to stay at Ten Thousand Waves. We had... More

Didn't stay at the hotel. Had a fabulous massage at the hotel the evening of my arrival in town. These people know what they're doing. Can't wait to come back! More
