We stayed on the Shenandoah River this summer by renting the Stone Manor Cabin from Stone Manor Cabin rentals. It was just lovely. We were right on the river, had a nice screen porch with hot tub, intertubes, canoe, full kitchen - everything we could want with the George Wash Natl Forest literally in our backyard. Reasonably priced and clean. I would recommend this rental to anyone. This was a two bedroom, but they also have bigger cabins along the river. Just google Stone Manor Cabin Luray VA and it's easy to find their website. I would recommend taking a phone card with you as your cell phone will not work unless you drive up the road a ways. They also had a big book in the living room with brochures from all over the area. Used it to find horseback riding, a battlefield and a winery. If you love the outdoors, this is a terrific place to stay. more
