We stayed in room108. It seems we were the only guests at the motel. We were given the "best" room (I think). Yes, the furniture was outdated but the room was clean and there were no bugs. The TV reception was a little grainy and the TV was old. The bed was comfortable and the bedding appeared to be fresh.... more

This motel is SO old and very few updates have been made. The stall shower had black mold all around the base of the bottom and down along the sides. The bed was hard and creaked every time you moved. The carpeting was dingy and dirty. Cheap brass makeup mirror/stand with no overhead light or elec. plug. Cable to TV... more

When we first checked in, the toilet in our room did not flush. They put us in another room. Paint peeling on the walls. Very old room. Dirty walls near the headboards. No radio with alarm clock. No mini fridge which we requested. The microwave was on the floor right as you enter the room so we kept tripping over... more

This is a basic independent motel on one story. I stayed in a King room which includes a mini-fridge and microwave (which worked well) and a small sink set in some incredibly crude unfinished cabinetwork. The A/C was cold, the hot water hot, the water pressure good, and the mattress hard. Tiny, greasy towels. Polyester curtains and bedding. Dim lighting.... more

While I realize that locally owned motels seldom have the resources to constantly update bathrooms, furniture, carpet and paint, this motel failed to keep up with even the simplest, inexpensive repairs in their 70's decor rooms! The room door was impossible to open without brute force, and a light bulb was broken in the (stained and yellowed) floor lamp. The... more

I booked this hotel based on the reviews from this website and regretted it the minute we walked in the door. The only clue I had that the room had been renovated was that the wooden blocks holding the old headboards were still on the walls. A bathroom vanity light served as the main lighting for the room and furniture... more

I just came back from a 5 day 4 night stay in Luray, Va. If you are in the mood for a SIMPLE good time, this is the place to be. Luray is a beautiful small town in the middle of the Blue Ridge and Appalacian Mountains. As you drive up and down the street hills, you are caressed by... more

Before I visit to Luray, I have reviewed available motels in Luray. Since Cardinal Inn is rated #1 motel in Luray, I just gave it a try and stayed their for 2 nights. As majority of the people said, I agree that Cardinal Inn is best choice in town of Luray. Their rate is very competitive and Luray itself is... more

I am visiting Luray each year at least once since last 8 years. As per my opinion this is the very good accommodative hotel and I found this it is renovated this year . It's having good enough cleanliness, staff, location and competitive rate. The room in which I stayed was very good and worth enough for the value I... more
