Stayed at the Best Western Luray on Nov 6, 2009 with 3 children. The room was clean, had a microwave, fridge, and in a good location. No complaints , great for a overnight or short stay. Did not go to the resturant, went to Uncle Buck's instead, not a good choice. more

stayed here for one night, room looked alittle "tired" and dated, but the 32inch flat screen TV was good. Disappointed that there was no free breakfast,- ok they are not normally much but are enough to set you on your way. We were given a discount coupon for the onsite restaurant..but did not use it. Not alot in Luray, theres... more

We checked in for a night in August 2009 after a visit to Luray Caverns, VA. The hotel is right on the highway. The check in was quick, and the old lady at the counter was efficient. The cars can be parked right in front of the room and the pool too is right across. The room was comfortable and... more

For a single night (or perhaps two or three) the room at this Best Western was just fine. Overall it was clean and quiet; the hotel seemed fairly occupied but not crowded. Check-in went without a hitch. We felt overall that the staff was working hard to make the room inviting. Very comfortable king bed with attractive bedspread and very... more

This hotel is a bit dated but for the rural town of Luray it was about what we expected. There was no free continental breakfast unlike most hotels in this class nowadays. We were given a 20% off coupon for the onsite restaurant for breakfast. The breakfast at the restaurant was pretty good for the price however. Our room was... more

Check in was fine, we got to our room and it stank of smoke. We are smokers, so usually smoking rooms just smell normal. But this room was something else. I tried to air it out, but nothing could get rid of the stench. It was in the walls or something! I know smoking always smells bad, but being a... more

I really enjoyed this small and quaint motel. We had a double room on the lower floor and were able to park right in front of our room. Noise was not an issue during our stay. Beds were very comfortable and I really like having a fridge available. Front desk clerk was very informative when we asked for suggestions for... more

Booked in for two nights in late January 2009 for brother's wedding. Hotel is horrible - room smelled like someone died under the bed. We tried another room and it was just as bad. Ended up cancelling reservation and moving to Mimslyn Inn across the street (site of the wedding & reception). more

We stayed in a room with two double beds for two nights while visiting Luray Caverns with our 4 and 6 year old children. This was pretty much the perfect fit for us: inexpensive (less than $80/night mid-week including AAA discount), clean, comfortable, with more amenities than I expected for the price (vis: fridge and microwave.) In fact, it was... more

I do not know what the negativity concerning this hotel is about. Our room was excellent. In fact, my spouse said that it was as good a room as one at a more expensive Hilton where she had recently stayed. Yes, no free breakfast, but the restaurant's was excellent and reasonable. (I think that free breakfasts are overrated anyway.) Yes,... more
