The location of this hotel is very central, and a room on the south side yields beautiful views of the harbor and mountains. The staff are all very friendly. The hotel rooms are showing wear and need a remodel. Restful sleep is difficult given the noise from other rooms. The restaurant serves pricy and below average food, while the service is terrible. I have stayed at this hotel 6 times and I am consistently disappointed. The Totem Sq hotel is much better. more

Check in was smooth and the room was clean. Didn't notice the fan until the next morning. Wish the front desk staff had mentioned it. Was somewhat stuffy most of the night, and when we opened the window , the traffic right outside was kind of noisy. Good internet connection in th elobby. more

Sitka was a pleasant surprise- beautifully set on the water, clean as clean could be and even a bit of sophistication. The WestMark was right on the water and near the boats, Bars, Shops and food. The Pour House is a Non smoking bar with a ton of history and then theres the Pioneer, which is a smoking bar with tons of history.
