I was very happy with my stay here. I have stayed alone for business and have also been here with my family to visit the Grand Canyon. Everything was great and we had no complaints. It is not the newest place but considering the owners are not the original owners, there have done a great job maintaining the place and... more

Drove from Las Vegas and was very glad to get there and go to bed. Lobby was OK and staff was fine, the room however was not so good. The bedspreads are old and dirty and need to be replaced, blanket not so sure about. The carpet was dirty but vacuumed in most places, however the carpet around the wall... more

This hotel would have been easier to swallow if it was closer to the $49 price point. Carpet not vaccumed. Mold and paint peel in the bathroom. Every inch of the bathroom spackled and caulked to fix items that needed to be replaced. The smell was horrible. Smelled of old cig smoke that was embedded in the twenty year old... more

Coming into Flagstaff at sundown in a rainstorm I pulled in here; wet, cold, tired and hungry on a cycle. Room was OK but not up to typical standards for an $80 rate. It sounds like they have been trying to improve the place but it still needs some upgrading and maintenance in the rooms. The dark brown carpet, drapes... more

It really is a dump! And dirty, but at the time i was very grateful to have a place to sleep. UNTIL i got home and looked at my bank account. They charged me once on the 25th and then again today the 26th. I only stayed one night! Not to mention that the 2nd charge was not planned and... more

We stayed in the Howard Johnson Inn in Flagstaff one night, and to sum it up briefly, we'd get more sleep by sleeping in the car along some side road. Trains were passing frequently all night, all of them blowing their whistle - and I've never had an alarm clock making such loud noises! Obviously not recommended. more

No bill received because reservation was made thru hotels.com; it would come in the mail, they said. Nothing received sofar. Bathroom was mildewed. 6" of pink mildew on bottom of shower curtain. Wobbly toilet. Tiled tub surround had hair stuck on it, pink and black mildew on grout, soap scum. Dirty walls. Only the sink and tub had been cleaned.... more

This place was pretty bad, but not as bad as the Relax Inn just south on US-89. Any place along US-89 in Flagstaff is going to have frequent loud train noise at various times during the day. One of the electrical sockets didn't work (years of abuse). Also, the toilets installed in the rooms are designed to clog if one... more

We had to change trip plans due to weather at the last minute and failed to check tripadvisor when I booked this room. The trains sounded every 15 minutes right in front of hotel all night long!!! Worst hotel stay in my life! We will NEVER stay in Flagstaff again. We would have been better off sleeping in the car... more

These rooms are over-priced and dirty! The blankets were dirty, stained worn and the comforters were no better. Howard Johnson is a well-known name but this Howard Johnson is a dump- Don't pay more than 35.00 for these rooms, that's all thier worth! Plus the owner's have an out-dated key system and are paranoid your going to loose their key.... more
