A nice, well located hotel with free parking. Excellent value for money. The room we stayed in was very nicely decorated. Free internet computer for guests. The following morning we had a very, very yummy breakfast and a nice chat with the owner (ask him for restaurant tips, he is a bit of a foodie). More

Visited from England and stayed nine nights...a gamble for us as we had never booked to stay in one hotel/inn for so long...no problem at all. I had done my research as usual and selected the Admiral Fitzroy Inn on cost and location. There are many great Inns in Newport but many are very expensive or a little isolated. The... More

We went here the last week in October with two other couples, We booked in September and were promised rooms on the third floor with queen sized beds, when we arrived we were directed to the second floor to rooms with double beds. I checked my email reservation but the bed size is not noted. Any place I book again... More

We were a bit late in getting a reservation in Newport and didn't realize there was a lot going on that weekend. The Admiral Fitzroy is right on the busy street down by the water--but that is also a positive as you can walk and find all kinds of great shops, restaurants, sights, etc. . .The Inn needs a bit... Nice little hotel in an old house, good location in walking distance of all the shops, restaurants and harbor. Nicely presented breakfast with yummi granola, bagels, coffee, real juice, cheese, ham, hard boiled eggs - and everything in a lovely room. Don't miss the roof-top -you get a wonderful view of the sea and Newport! More

We had two nights here in early August, booked sight unseen via the internet. A beautiful old Newport inn very close to and within sight of the waterfront and right in the middle of town, we couldn't have been more comfortable. We were two couples given rooms just across the hallway from each other - amenities in the rooms couldn't... More

Perfect location, right downtown a few blocks from Bannister's and Bowen's Wharf, and only a 5 minute walk to Bellevue Ave, where most of the cottages are. Clean, large, pleasant rooms. Very attentive, helpful staff. Fine continental breakfast- if you are a breakfast nut, you may want to go out, but for most people bagels, muffins, fruit, yogurt, cereal are... More

We stayed at the Admiral Fitzroy for two nights as part of our tour of New England. As we arrived in July at the week-end we had to pay top price for our accommodation. The location of this hotel is very good and the room did 'grow on us' as time went on, but our initial reaction was one of... More

I had never stayed in a bed and breakfast, usually opting for the comforts of a nice hotel. My stay at the Admiral Fitzroy Inn was a great begining to bed and breakfast inns. The staff was gracious and pleasant from the moment we checked in, eager to help us with anything we needed. The Inn was clean and comfrotable.... More
