We have been to newport several times and always enjoyed the city. We had stayed at the "sister" in The Cliffside Inn, several years ago and loved it. The website for this Inn is very slick and unfortunately, very misleading. The website says this: "we feature a wine and food pairing event unlike any other in Newport. I'm not really an inn person, although I've stayed in some that are lovely and cozy. This one is not so much; First, the best part: we stayed in the Spa Room, private rooftop deck with nice hottub. We also stayed in the suite that had a rooftop deck. Sounded great and the pictures on their website looked good. The room was very small. No real closet, just what looked like a "homemade" armoire. We arrived after a long drive from Maine looking forward to a relaxing night in a good quality bed and breakfast - we were sorely disappointed.
