I wish I had read these reviews before I booked this hotel! The inn is not on the beach...it is accross the street. We booked a deluxe room, the room was so small and narrow with just a double bed. We were traveling with our one- year-old son and there was not even a bathtub in this "deluxe" room. In... more

We chose the Inn based on internet photos and proximity to the beach. Therefore, I was disappointed that the hotel was not as it is presented. HOWEVER, we ended up having a pleasant stay. First of all, the continental (free) breakfast had many choices (bagels, muffins, flavored coffee, etc) which pleased us and the kids. We had a 2 bedroom... more

Stayed here 10/12/-10/14. Was very nervous based on all the bad reviews but it was too late to cancel our reservation. Was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Yes, it is an older facility that can use a facelift (which apparently it is getting according to the signs in the lobby. They will be closed from November 2007 thru April 2008... more

We were booked in a hotel room that had ceiling tiles and fluorescent fixtures like a remodeled conference room. Ceiling tiles had water stains. I am not sure what standards are used to get 3 stars. Then guest parking was moved to the beach parking lot which was across a busy road with very little street lighting-- not safe to... more

We stayed at the hotel as part of the Uk based Virgin Holidays fly-drive option. On our two week stay in wonderfull New England and staying at eight hotels in total, this hotel was really a let down.Poor room, which was tiny, and i mean tiny and worst of all there was green mould on the ceiling above the window. We stayed... more

I had booked a room for 2 nights at the end of August via the Hotel Website on which they offered an end of summer special for 139/night. The day before I departed, they phoned to say that they had plumbing issues and couldn't offer me the room I had booked. As a consolation, they offered me a room at... more

I booked a room online because the website was offering an end of summer special for $129/night. Shortly after booking I received a voicemail from the hotel regarding my credit card. I called back thinking I must have mistyped the numbers and gave the credit card info again. I was told I was all set. When I arrived, there was... more

The Inn at Newport Beach is a FRAUD: 1) The hotel litarally smells of mold 2) The polluted beach stinks of raw sewerage. (FYI: It is not "Newport Beach" but actually "Easton's Beach," also known as "First Beach," a stretch of ocean that has been polluted for years as many articles posted on the internet attest.) 3) The general manager... more

This hotel was listed in the Historic hotels of America. Historic it was in the sense that the hotel desperately needs a major overhaul. Check which room they want to give you as ours was a shoe-box with a tiny window looking straight into someone else's window. Despite the tiny square footage, the hotel thought it was necessary to put... more

This hotel definitely needs some updating when you consider the cost -- close to, or over $300 a night. It 's across the street from a beautiful public beach, but it's a very busy street. We were on the second floor overlooking that street with a lovely view of the ocean. It wasn't as loud as it could have been... more
