The Abigail Stoneman Inn is quite a treasure. I almost don't want to post this for fear the secret will get out... My fiancee and I visited Newport for the weekend from NYC and we are so pleased with the Abigail Stoneman Inn that it has/will already become a staple for future visits. The house itself is beautiful... oodles of... more

My best friend and I went to Newport for a "girls only weekend". We had the entire 3rd floor room. Two seperate bedrooms, a kitchen, a jacuzzi bathtub to die for! The afternoon teas were wonderful and the pillow menu was a godsend for us! The inn-keeper(s) were magnificent! We can't wait to bring our husbands for a weekend! more

Wow, what can I say? We had such a wonderful time staying in this B&B. The service was very nice and everyone was so polite. It is a very quiet area but located in a great part of Newport. There is a Stop & Shop about a 1/2 mile away as well as a CVS very close by. Breakfast was... more

We loved the fact that they had specialty soaps, pillows, and water you really feel pampered. We stayed in 2 different rooms, both were unique and nicely decorated. The staff was friendly and helpful with reservations for dinner. We went just before the xmas holiday and it was a lot of fun. more

After reading the advertisement of this inn, my husband and I and another couple were so excited to be staying at this place. However, what a disappointment from the moment we drove into the driveway. The "water bar" was a refrigerator we could look in and pick a bottled water. I was excited about being able to choose a favorite... more

The Inn's website shows a well appointed, well staffed, luxury B&B accommodation. The Inn itself is in fairly good shape on the inside. It was clean and orderly. However, the outside of the Inn is falling apart, the lawn was overgrown at the edges and weeds filling in the rickety fence, the bowed siding had flaking paint falling off in... more

If this inn was reasonably priced, I would probably not be writing this review. However, for almost $500. a night, I expected much more. The bath menu consists of your choice of one bar of nice soap. The pillow menu (which lured me there!) was a lot of old, firm king sized pillows. The water menu was a refrigerator full... more

Both me and my husband stayed here a couple years ago, we liked it so much we came back to the property on our last night in Newport and we were lucky we did. When we both arrived we were greated by two of the nicest inn keepers Claire and Joan. Both we enjoyed talking to very much! They helped... more

Stayed at the Abigail Stoneman Inn over Christmas with my wife, and truly had the best B&B experience we've ever had. The Innkeepers went out of their way to meet all our needs and were very warm and friendly. Breakfast was awesome, I had the omelet AND the Peach Crepes, which kept me going until afternoon tea; which was to... more

The inn looked nice from the pictures on their website and brochure so I booked 4 nights at the inn for my honeymoon in the "Victoria" room. When we arrived on Sept 17,2006 we found that the pictures we had seen were extremely deceptive. The room was filthy and disgusting. There were brown stains(feces?) all over the bedroom carpet and... more
