Aaaaahhhhh... true European hospitality in Newport! The innkeeper, Evelyn, was a fantastic hostess during our 2-night stay recently. The absolutely delicious breakfasts (all Evelyn's original recipes) and the 5pm cheese-and-wine were promptly served every day as she tended to all of our needs and questions. The place looks newly-renovated and our room was immaculate. The price is very reasonable for... more

The Almondy Inn is one of the nicest guest houses that I and my partner have stayed at-and we are very spoiled. We were here for only one night but we will be back. The guesthouse fits wonderfully into the whole Newport environment of good restaurants and pleasant people. Our host made us feel right at home from the first... more

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Almondy Inn for Valentines Day. The Inn itself is spotless and in a perfect location, right off Thames Street. Evelyne the Inn innkeeper was very polite and willing to make you feel as comfortable as possible without over doing it. The Breakfast was very impressive as was the service. They love what... more

My husband and I stayed at the Almondy Inn for Labor Day weekend, but the last half - Sunday night and Monday night. As they had a cancellation we were able to get the Lanai Suite for only two nights instead of the three that were usually necessary for the holiday weekend. They were very willing to work with me... more

The Almondy Inn is about 3 years old, in an antique building that the owners have completely restored. I stayed in the Sunset room, the smallest room since I was by myself. The bed was high quality and comfy, 400 count bed sheets, also cozy and the decor was pleasant. Own bath with shower, which was nice looking and the... more

I've never been to Newport RI before and didn't know where to stay. We just got back from 4 days at the Almondy Inn (returned 8/25/06). There are many B&Bs to choose from and the large hotels on the harbor were really high priced ($350+ per night during high season). Found this place online and really lucked out. The house... more

Newport in July is breathtaking and a stay at the Almondy Inn made the visit all the more pleasurable. In the heart of historic downtown Newport, the Almondy offers easy access to an array of activities -- shopping, dining, beaching or just strolling along the harbor -- all within a pleasant walking distance. The Victorian house has been classically renovated... more

This place is fantastic. We've been visiting Newport for the past four years, and we've found the place that we would return to for years to come. We stayed in the Plantation room which was perfect for us. From the decor to the cleanliness, we felt right at home. Loved the Cal. king bed and Jacuzzi tub! Gourmet breakfast and... more

The Almondy Inn was everything we expected from an Inn and more. Beautiful decor, fresh flowers, gourmet food, wonderful linens and lovely antiques throughout. Parking available, walking distance to shops, food, and recreation. Nice wine & cheese session each evening at 5PM. Information and maps available. Everything was clean and fresh. From the soft terry robes to candies and tissues... more
