If staying in Newport, I can't imagine why anyone would want to be anywhere else. Pearls is located on Pelham Street, convenient to the waterfront as well as the bustling downtown area. There is a thriving restaurant and bar culture that awaits literally seconds from the Pearls doorstep. The rooms were tidy, sheets were crisp and clean, and the views... More

I have stayed in numerous places around the Newport area and will never stay anywhere else but the Pearls after my last visit. Ray, the owner, could not have been more friendly and accomodating. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. It is the perfect place to stay with your wife/ girlfriend or with the entire family.... More

Pearls was awesome! I spent a weekend here with family and friends and we couldn't have asked for anything more. The food was fantastic, the living quarters were gorgeous, and the location is perfect. Unbelievable views from the houses as well. Everyone there was very nice and helpful and I can't wait to go back. Pearlsy Whirlsy! More

I stayed at Pearls a few weekends ago and have been there several times. I have nothing but great things to say. The place was beautiful, the complimentary breakfast was delicious, and Ray gave us great guidance on the places to eat and visit during our stay. In addition it is located less than half a mile from down town.... More

Worst B & B I've ever experienced. Avoid this place at all cost. It's a real mess and it could be such a nice place if it were properly managed. More

Thanks Ray for an incredible stay. I felt so at home, spent hours talking to the owner Ray --he personally made coffee and breakfast every morning. The place we were recommended for dinner could have been better as we asked for romantic (it was our anniversary), but everything else was wonderful. Charming room with a fireplace. Would definitely go back... More

Ray is essentially a nice guy, BUT needs a lesson on managing his B & B. My son and his bride had reserved the Pearls and other rooms nearby from Friday to Monday morning. They had their contract in writing and had paid for the reservation. Despite talking with Ray and the wedding organizer who recommended the Pearls several times... More

Even though my daughter reserved 15 rooms months prior and spoke with the propriertor many times before her wedding, the day we all checked it seemed to surprise the man. The rooms were not ready, run down and unkept. My room had a major leak in the roof and I was unable to stay at the same hotel as my... More

Very disorganized staff including the owner. The hotel had beautiful details and at one time must had been lovely with all of those special touches. But we experienced a different Pearl. The public areas smelled damp and old, dead flowers Lilies (ha) were on the foyer table and the rooms were crowded. When they brought us to our room it... More

Just about everyone coming to our wedding needed a place to stay. We worked with Ray, the owner, for months to reserve all three houses for the night of the wedding, and others to stay for 3 nights. First, he said he was giving us a "deal" which is not true - it's the same price of every other night.... More
