Great location, friendly hosts, nice rooms. Walking distance to tourist areas. Tasty breakfast and cookies in the afternoon. Very nice stay at the Melville House more

We loved our stay at the Melville House Inn. The room was lovely, with our own bath. The street is quiet. There's off-street parking, very important in Newport. The breakfasts are to die for. You won't need lunch. And the hosts are charming. Bob knows all about the history of the house and others on the quaint street. We plan... more

My husband and I just got back from staying at the Melville house in Newport, RI this past weekend and had a wonderful time! The historical house was so quaint and lovely...it truly was a relaxing getaway. The innkeepers, Priscilla and Bob were so hospitable and made the best breakfasts and afternoon treats.
