I saw the review was pretty good so i decided to book it. But i was disappointed. The room that was allocated to me was pretty old. There's kitchen but no stove no microwave no cultery or other utensils, just a basin. The distance was pretty far to Waikiki Beach about 10mins walk. I'm not sure is it because i... More

I stayed here from January 25-26, 2012 and had pre-booked this accommodation through a tour company. I have found this hotel to be excellent. it is a good location, about 6 blocks from a big shopping centre, although there is a corner store right at the bottom of the hotel. You can walk to Waikiki beach in about 15 mins,... More

First off, I need to say that (a) I was traveling alone with a rental car, and (b) I was not into beaches (seeing the historic sights on Oahu on a 3-day stopover, headed to Australia). If I were there for the beaches, I would have chosen elsewhere (and frankly, not near Waikiki, which to me is Manhattan with a... More

We went to this hotel over christmas and new year 2011, the rooms themselves were very good , good size and had a kitchenette area. The only down side was the traffic noise, we were on the fifth floor and were woken every morning at 5am by the tour buses picking people up and the dustbins being emptied. When we asked... More

Stayed here for a couple of days, it is quite a decent hotel nothing fancy just average hotel with a bit outdated already. Seems like it was during the 80's that this hotel was decorated and never really had any upgrades. They have in room lan available which was great, showers is a bit cramp and bedroom is just average.... More

I have been going to Hawaii for the last fifteen years, have paid from 79 to 250 a night. Have to say the Ambassador is the Best Bang For Your Buck I have found. My room was clean with a king size bed, full kitchen, ocean view, free internet and safe. Found the staff to be friendly and helpful, in... More

Clean rooms, noisy neighborhood, but to be expected for central Waikiki. 2 Double beds, excellent rate, newly remodeled pool area which was nice.No bath tub, shower only.Great service from room staff.Would definitely stay here again for the rate.In room safe was nice to have also. They do need to install microwaves as there is a small kitchen area (older cupboards).Room size was large which came... This hotel really suffers from a misnomer: no ambassador would be caught dead in it. Maybe the ambassador of something like Tokelau, but even that would be a stretch. A much better name for it would be Convenience Store Manager Hotel, or possibly Social Worker Hotel. It might be clean, but you can't really tell because it's so old --... More

Hotel is older but very clean and decent size room. Kitchen has small fridge but no stove. We asked for coffe maker in room and they willing obliged no problem. Walk to beach is not that far remember you are in waikiki and beachfronts are $$$$$. Cupboards smelt musty but not a big problem. For price was very decent stay. More
