We actually lived in the Banyan for a month and a half when we moved to Oahu and loved it. The units are one bedroom condos with a full kitchen but they are not all the same. We thought about buying one of the units so we looked a several units and some had been updated and some are a... more

My Dad, brother and I stayed at the Waikiki Banyan this past April. We were very happy with the hotel, especially for the location. It was a short walk to Waikiki beach. We also loved the recreation floor with barbecues, pool, hot tubs, putting area, etc. As with most hotels in the Waikiki area, it is probably over 30 years... more

We traveled with 2 young kids. Location of the hotel is very good. It is located just 1 block away from the beach. 15 to 20 min slow walk to the center where the market is. Room was not very clean. Beds were just matresses and very old ones on frames. You will find better ones on the street for... more

We stayed at the Banyan for 5 nights in mid-Sept. with our 18-mo. toddler. We arrived late at night so it was quiet in the lobby but we were greeted by the friendly staff. Our toddler rec'd a welcome gift (beach pail & shovel and a few other treats). In our room, we found a nice wedding anniversary gift (a... more

We exchanged our timeshare for this resort. We had room 1401- great view of Ali Wai Canal and mountains. Room had been recently renovated and had a really nice kitchen and a murphy bed instead of a sofa bed, which is much more comfortable. Great resort location- one block from the beach and 2 blocks from the zoo, plus walking... more

My family and I just got back from Honolulu. We stayed at the Waikiki Banyan for a total of 8 nights. Our party consisted of 5 adults and 4 children. We found the condos to be clean and well-maintained...although, we'd booked our reservation through a property management company and not through the Aston agency that's on-site. The Banyan was conveniently... more

The Waikiki Banyan has seen better days but the news is not all bad. We have stayed here on 3 occasions and understand that it is not a Sheraton hotel. The rooms are quite spacious and the location is great. The price represents great value for money and frees up your cash to spend on other things like shopping and... more

We enjoyed the Waikiki Banyan very much. It seemed very convenient to everything and just a short trot to the beach. The staff bent over backwards to accomodate us and they even offered to call our surf school when they noticed that we had waited longer than normal. Our biggest extra was when we had to check out at 12... more

We stayed at the Banyan Resort from the 9th June to the 20th June 2009. We had a condo room (room 2912) it is on the 29th floor with views of Waikiki Beach and city views. Contrary to various reports about this Resort all I can say is "what do people expect" from a resort. Our room was privately owned... more
