I stayed @ the seaside hostel in August of 2007. This was my first Hostel experience. I had a wonderful time & hope to come back a bunch of friends! I loved the staff. I went to the island of Oahu for 2 wks. The first wk was spent on the North Shore @ Turtle Bay resorts (in a condo.)... more

Great staff, great location & great facilities. Thanks to Johnny and his staff for making me feel at home on my vacation. In a place where hospitality can be generic, this hostel is the exception. Don't waste time in the back alleys of Lemon Rd. and come stay here. more

This was the first time we stayed in a hostel and we loved it! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The hostel was kept very clean, orderly, and safe. It was in a perfect location; within walking distance to the beach, fabulous restaurants such as Dukes and CheeseCake Factory, the International Market Place, close to TheBus bus stops, and for... more

This is a great hostel if you don't mind giant cockroaches and other assorted filth. It's not really a bargain because there are hostels nearby which charge the same price per night and you don't have to deal with the run down facilities and the all night noise from the bar next door. The staff are somewhat friendly until you... more

My husband and I stayed here in Jan. 2007. We had a private room with a shared bathroom. There were roaches EVERYWHERE. A few on the floor in the room and in the bathroom, but the kitchen was COVERED (counter tops seemed to move. Even the inside of the microwave was crawling with them.) The shower faucet didn't work (couldn't... more

I stayed at the Seaside with two of my friends and we had a great experience. The hostel has recently in the last year come under new management and according to the staff has really made some changes. I, as well as my two friends, all female felt very safe the three nights that we stayed there. The kitchen is... more

If you're on a serious budget, the hotels in Honolulu could break the bank in just one day. I stayed at the Seaside hostel for four days and loved it. It has free internet and a really big patio area with TV (got to catch the NCAA tourney between time at the beach). The rooms are not very private, with... more
