Nicely conenient to the mall but a bit of a hike to the beach. Staff very friendly and accomodating but room was small and tub and sink had several hairs when I arrived. Most restaurants closed and no bar at the pool but pool area was nice. Very good fitness centre. more

A friend/colleague of mine and I went to Oahu on an overnight trip for a workshop we were attending. The hotel we normally stay at (Hawaii Prince Hotel) was sold out and so we chose to stay at the Ala Moana because of their $99 per night special. The location was great for us because we did want to do... more

My family and I travel to Oahu several times a year and we like to stay at the Ala Moana Hotel for several reasons. The hotel employees (front desk, housekeeping, valet, etc.) are the greatest. They take care of us kamaaina's! The location is convenient because it's next to the shopping center and there are a lot of eateries nearby.... more

We spent one night at this hotel on a long layover on our way home from our wedding trip. We arrived at the hotel at 6.30am and were lucky enough to be given access to our room right away. The room was on the small side, but was more than adequate for us. We spent some time lying out on... more

I had a partial ocean view room in the Kona tower. The lobby and the rooms had been renovated with spa-like blue paint and brushed metal fixtures. Unfortunately, I didn't realize when the room description said "one bed" the one bed in the room would be a double rather than a queen or a king sized bed. I was disappointed,... more

This is an OK hotel, but from my experience, there are better choices in Honolulu. I booked a room because I was attending a conference at the convention center just down the street. The room was clean, but the price was high, room was small, TV had a very small screen and the remote worked intermittently. We had free internet... more

This is our third time on the island but first time at this property. This hotel is a nice hotel, very close (walking distance) to the convention center and right next door to the huge shopping center Ala Moana Shopping center. The hotel has two towers. It is imperative to stay in the newer one which is the Wakiki Tower.... more
