I will begin by saying that their free parking is a rare and much-appreciated find in Hololulu. Spaces in the parking lot were quite small, but manageable. Now, about the hotel itself. If you are a Hilton or Sheraton kind of person, this place is definitely not for you. Yes, the rooms are large, but they are also old. The... more

We booked here based on the Trip Advisor reviews and weren't disappointed. Yes, the hotel is a bit dated but so what? It is super clean, the staff is helpful and friendly, and the street is quiet by Waikiki standards. We will absolutely stay here again if we're lucky enough to come back to Waikiki! more

I stay at the Ilima about 4-6 times a year when I travel to Honolulu on business. The staff is invariably accomodating, the rooms clean and very spacious--if a little dated--and of course the location is great, off the main drag but near enough to walk just about anywhere in Waikiki. The kitchen is nice to have if you're staying... more

My mother and I stayed for 3 days earlier this month. Based on a prior guest's recommendation on Trip Advisor, we requested a room with a mountain view. The room was huge with two large beds and the price was very reasonable. It included a kitchenette, a convenience which we enjoyed tremendously. The room decor is a bit dated but... more

We are just completing 7 days at the Ilima Hotel... we were looking for a good sized room (three traveling friends), and chanced upon the Ilima Hotel... their website offered excellent deals that did not show up on Orbitz, Travelocity, etc. This review is based on Room 1202, I requested a higher floot facing ther mountains (suggested by other trip... more

My husband and I stayed here when we first moved to Oahu. It was recommended b/c it was close to work and had laundry facilities, a kitchenette in every room and more like a very small condo. Overall, the hotel was very dated, but was good for the price. Our room had a great balcony and we could see the... more

We stayed at the I'lima Hotel for the final 2 nights of a week long Hawaii vacation. Our purpose was to meet my parents, and spend time visiting family friends and doing a little sightseeing. My parents always stay at the I'lima (they are budget-minded and like the free parking). We booked a 1-bedroom suite, and liked the spacious rooms,... more

The Ilima hotel is a very affordable, older hotel in the heart of Waikiki. While it doesn’t have many of the features of newer hotels (spas, a gym, etc) you are still in Hawaii; why do you want to stay in the hotel? The room itself is spacious, with a full kitchenette (fridge, stove, microwave and sink) as well as... more

I stayed at the Ilima for 8 nights in a studio superior room with my husband because of all of the positive reviews we read. We stayed in room 901, which had a beautiful view of the mountains, the Ala Wai Canal and the Ala Wai golf course. This hotel is a great value for $115/night with the 5th night... more

The last two days of our Hawaiian holiday were spent here and we couldn't have chosen better. Having the car park was great, nearness to the shops and restaurants was a bonus, the rooms were large and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would always try and stay here, if I ever have the chance to go... more
