The Gateway is a decent, clean hotel with EXCELLENT prices (I paid $80 for a decent-sized room with TWO balconies). The lobby is cool and the location is great, but that's about it.....even at $80 per night, we felt ripped off. We stayed here one night and left the next morning. We overnighted on our way to the Big Island. We were on the 8th floor in a corner room. There were sliding doors to small balconies on two sides of the room - great way to enjoy warm Hawaiian air. This hotel is excellent for the price. It is very clean with excellent knowlegeable polite staff. Close to the convention center.walking distance and you can't get lost..and for thoes of you on government per diem is well within the per diem.
