The location this hotel was great-right off the highway-not very far from DC and all the tourist attractions. The accomodations were pretty basic and standard. I think I got a good place to stay and good service for a great price....Free parking, free internet (wi-fi), and free breakfast...I will stay here when I'm in the area again. more

Over the 4-day business meeting, I wandered the hotel with their brochure in hand outlining all the Art Deco features. It's magnificent. Just stayed at the Hilton Netherland Plaza and it is just "OK," UNLESS you like really really old hotels from a bygone era. I stayed here for 2 nights in July of 2009. I booked a mini-suite which really was just a large room with a seating area. Pros: the bed (mattress, linens) were wonderful. Really enjoyed my stay at the Hilton. Even though I booked through Hotwire, I gave them my Hilton Honors number and they went out of their way to accommodate all of my preferences. That was really a nice surprise. I've paid full rate before and didn't receive this level of service. Older property but very well done and absolutely charming.... more
