I had originally tried to book the Old Faithful Inn but it was sold out, so I booked the Snow Lodge instead. As I drove past the Inn and saw the Snow Lodge I was a bit disappointed because it looked like a standard hotel compared. The lobby was completely different than I had expected, high ceilings with wooden beams... more

We stayed here a few nights while on a planned tour. The location is great; many great sites to see within walking distance including shops. The food at the hotel is very good. I recommend the plate of french fries with their special dipping sauce. Can stroll out to see old faithful when you'd like. more

Lodge rooms are nicely decorated and clean with basic amenities. We spent 3 nights here in Oct. I don't know why in the 21st century hotel providers can't offer rooms with queen beds. Gee thanks, Xanterra. The lodge rooms are such an irony...very high priced for a middle-income family with kids so you mostly see couples or folks with very... more

We stayed one night at the Snow Lodge. Our room was a good size, had two double beds and was very clean. Nothing special but a comfortable and clean room. We ate lunch at the Geyser Grill and that was pretty blah. We ate dinner at the Lodge restaurant and enjoyed the dinner. Customer service was great at both the... more

Our cabin was warm which was great seeing as the first snows of the year had just descended on the area. I like these lodge type hotels/motels and this one was as expected. The room was fine with two queen beds which were comfortable. The bathroom was a little small and very hot when the heating was on. These outside... more

Being at Old Faithful and hiking the trails and boardwalks is beyond spectacular. Lodging in the cabins was average or less BUT the only sounds at night were the coyotes howling which made up for the over priced cabin, marginal beds and bad food. more

The location (a few minutes to walk to Old Faithful) was amazing and the rooms were super clean and new (just a bit too dark). A bit pricey, but all the park hotels are. Everything we needed (gas, gift shops, stores, beautiful sights) was extremely accessible and close by. Only major disappointment was the food. Unbeknownst to us was the... more

Our cabin was about a 5 minute walk from the Snow Lodge. The cabins are not free standing single cabins, but 4-plex style structures with a small front porch. Our cabin had 2 very comfortable queen beds and cushy pillows. It was equiped with a coffee pot, coffee and tea and a hairdryer. They are pretty basic but for the... more

I'm glad they built this lodge because it is almost impossible to get a room at the Old Faithful Inn. After trying for many months to get a room at the OFI I found a room at the Snow Lodge which is right next to it and is new. You can always hang out at the OFI and go back... more

I have to agree with a couple of points made by other reviewers. First of all, the bedding. It is OK, but my complaint was having just 2 pillows on the beds. And they were not great to begin with. Either put good pillows, or have 4 per bed. We did not see an extra pillow in the room, and... more
