We stayed in a Pioneer Cabin at Yellowstone's Canyon Lodge area this summer. We had stayed there before and returned because our first experience was good. These cabins are not plush, but are adequate for a good night's rest. They are some of the more affordable cabins in Yellowstone, so must be booked early. The cabin was one side of... more

These cabins look horrible from the outside! I knew what to expect from reading Tripadvisor but still I was a little shocked by how bad the outides are. The steps to the cabin are really uneven, too...I actually tripped and fell on my way in (I'm a lifelong clutz) but once inside we were very pleasantly surprised! The cabins are... more

The cabins at Canyon were totally dilapidated and look like they haven't been updated in 40 years. The potholes in the road were the biggest I'd ever seen. I would have been totally aghast, had I not already researched other people's reviews on this site, and I even saw some pictures of the cabins. I am so glad I did.... more

This was SO much better than I thought it would be from the photos of the outside of the buildings. What an ideal place to stay in the middle of the park...especially with the road closure happening for the next year or more from Norris to Madison. This is easily accessible to the north and south parts of the park.... more

We stayed 4 nights in a Western cabin. Upon first appearance it looks like you going to stay in a run down tiny old cabin... however once inside it was very different than it looked. We had a 2 queen bed room which had table and chairs, set of draws and coffee making facilities. The interior was clean and had... more

By far the largest room we had in the park. 2 queen beds, a table, dresser and plenty of room between. Decorated in almost tacky western/country style, but perfect for the area. Clean, felt new (at least compared to other places we stayed). As with all the accommodations, plenty of towels and hot water. The cabins are a short drive... more

I am not one for thinking im going to get much in a national park, especially Yellowstone NP but surely they could lower the price on a place like this. I guess it all depends on your location when it comes to the price in Yellowstone and you just have to put up with your facilities - and its not... more

The cabin we stayed in (Frontier) was spacious and comfortable, but lacked frills. Not that you want frills, but the odd frill wouldn't go amiss. There is no air conditioning, but the fan provided was adequate. We had trouble, though, controlling the the thermostat and the heating came on during the day, so we returned in the evening to a... more

they have been recently remodeled. They look a little "iffy" from the outside (like old 50's park buildings) but the interiors are quit nice. Modular walls, but some wood trim and all new log furniture (queen beds, desk and chairs, dresser) They're really quite nice inside and have sliding glass door with a screen. All of the lodging in Yellowstone... more

We paid $80/night to stay in the cheapest cabin because it was easier than camping. With that attitude, we thought this place was perfect - clean place to sleep/shower. And good news for other families with babies... they have pack n' plays, in which our daughter slept very well. more
