long hike to 2nd and 3rd meadow but well worth the effort. fished hoppers, adams, caddis and wound up with 10-12 fish throughout the day. if you are not in shape, do not consider packing into the campground! more
Camp above the river if you are staying at the Campground, the higher the number the better. ONly plan on hiking back to the 2nd & 3rd meadow if you are in excellent shape. All reviews say it is an easy hike, but it is much more difficult than promoted.
Fishing is for the extremly experienced. Only 2 fish caught by 8 of us that hiked back for 2 days. Pretty area, but not worth the hike at all. Many more places just as good, closer to the road.
