We stayed in one of the cute yellow stand alone cabins ( it was a bit more private then the duplex cabins) and enjoyed it very much. The cabin was small and cozy but comfortable and clean. It was a short walk to the grand hotel itself, where nightly we sat in ithe beautiful lobby, to enjoy the music of... more

My girlfirend and I had a great time here. The grounds were kept up very well and our room was clean and beautiful. The staff and service was very friendly. Thank you for a wonderful stay. more

We did not stay at the hotel, only had dinner there one night, but enjoyed it tremendously. It was a great break from eating at our camper or some of the faster food places we tend to frequent because of our small children. Our table had a fantastic view of the lake, the servers all had nametags indicating from where... more

We stayed in one of Yellowstone Lake Hotel's Frontier Cabins for one night while in Yellowstone. I was a bit worried about the stay based on other reviews but was pleasantly surprised. The little yellow cabins are located behind the hotel in relationship to Yellowstone Lake. The buildings are old but are in good shape. While we were there a... more

Hotel hard to find at night; better road signage would help. Hotel looks nice from outside. The bell captain greeted us warmly as soon as we entered. Stayed three nights in east wing. Rooms make a good first impression, but then you notice how dirty and shabby they are. Here is what we encountered on the first night: carpeting, tiles,... more

My son and I stayed in 3 nights in a frontier cabin at Lake Yellowstone and really enjoyed it. The cabins are small and somewhat rustic but their age (they were built in the 1920s) gave them a certain charm. The walls are pretty thin so you will hear noise from the cabin you're attached to. We could hear our... more

Cabins in National Parks are hit or miss. The Yellowstone Lake Hotel Cabin we stayed in (not to be confused with a Yellowstone Lake Lodge cabin) was good in many respects. We had standalone unit (some are back to back duplex) and we were very happy with the space as well as the quiet they provided. We are not talking... more

The hotel location is great and possibly the best in the park but boy does it need some work. The exterior looks drab and the interior worse. Poor value for money. The restaurant food and service was great although the service from other servers (ours was great) looked to be poor from badly motivated staff. Room maintenance staff looked to... more

While the hotel rooms itself were not all that spectacular the views more than made up for it. Waking up and watching the sun rise up over the lake was wonderful every day that we stayed here. The rooms were rather pricey and the carpets could use a good deep cleaning - the beds also were not the best. more

The hotel sit's overlooking Yellowstone Lake, seemingly in the middle of no where. This historic hotel still exudes lots of old-time charm through what I call "dignified grander." The dinning room serves excellent food, but be prepared for a long wait and so-so service. While the rooms are nothing to rave about, request a front-side room for an amazing view... more
