By any normal standards the Yosemite Lodge is way overpriced for what you get; tired-looking rooms with various fixtures and fittings that don't work; barely adequate parking space for all the guests; insufficient dining facilities. My family usually loves the older, well-kept lodges within our National Parks. However, this one was just plain filthy. Also, there is no excuse for the old doors that desparately need replacing for safety reasons, as well as the lack of screens on the bathroom windows. Our room came with a free night's stay. Not for us, but for whatever animal ate our kids' goldfish crackers during the night. We accidentally knocked them on the floor in the middle of the night and come morning they were gone. And the windows above the closet-bathroom wouldn't shut. No screen, just open windows.
