We'll send you updates with the latest deals, reviews and articles for Housekeeping Camp and Yosemite National Park each week.
This is by far the best place to stay INSIDE Yosemite. You should DEFINITELY stay inside Yosemite because it's an hour from the gate entrance to the parts you want to see. The people who gave it one star on here are probably spoiled bratty people who are used to 5 star accommodation everywhere they go... even in nature. That... more
Imagine camping with Half Dome as the centerpiece of this setting on the Merced River. That is exactly what you have when you stay here along with the pleasures of camping without the bother of setting up a tent. The staff was polite and helpful and cared enough to inquire as to whether we had a good time during our... more
The pictures they show on the Yosemite website are a complete fraud. This place was disgusting. I lived in a Fraternity house for four years, and I never saw filth like I did at housekeeping camp. The floor was filthy concrete. The canvas "door" was aweful. There were some sort of stains on the walls that looked to be a... more
went to Yosemite in the middle of september, nobody there except retired people like myself. All the kids are back in school, so no yelling going on at night, all peaceful, and quite. You could hear a pin drop at nite, nice..Be sure to bring your own air mattress for the tent, because the mattresses in the tents are pretty... more
We stayed at the Housekeeping camp for 2 nights(Fri & Sat). When we made the booking we were clearly instructed to check in after 5 pm.The place does not have too many signboards after you enter the park.Have a map handy and follow directions towards Yosemite Village or Curry Village. This is really helpful if you are a first timer and entering... more
I stayed there for 2 nights and it's a great experience. There were table, dining table with chairs, small shelf with mirror, cabinet for foods. The mattress was quite hard and some springs punched me. We didn't use the upper bunk bed since there was no ladder and it's too close to ceiling. It's quite cold at night. The bathroom... more
This is a huge campground. Each unit has concrete floor and walls with a thick canvas tent top - split down the middle and rented to two different parties. The pros: they supply the cots, electricity, picnic table, large bear boxes, shade, and you can even rent bedding for $2.50. Lovely setting in the valley, free showers, indoor toilets, a... more
IT was some experience!! but for my first time camping not too bad. the place was exactly like the pictures didn't expect more. luckily I had read the reviews and took what other people suggested to take. The squirls weren't much of a problem! MOSTLY people not following the rules!! I STRONGLY suggest all food and scented items get locked... more
. . .at least in a tent, you aren't wallowing in someone else's filth. The condition of the "room" was atrocious. I don't know and don't care which orifice was involved in the mess left in the "bear locker". The room interior and table was left in a similar status. Complaints to the office were met with something just north... more
