When I arrived in Spicy Vang Vieng, i thought it was an absolute dump, but as a solo backpacker, the atmosphere was great and the people were friendly. The lockers looked a bit dodgy but during my entire stay (4 days) my valuables were safe. The free brekkie was great - just tea and a baguette each morning, but on... More

Coming to Vang Vieng we decided to book a bed here online and seemed great for the price. Little did we know how cheap Vang Vieng was, and how much better accommodation you can get for the same price. After waiting about 20 minutes for someone to come so we could check in, we walked in to our home for... More

Make sure that you know what you're up to, if you decide to stay here. The place is a little bit too far from the main scene and quite expensive for what you get. The dorm was open from one side (there were only 3 walls), there was no space to leave my stuff. Lockers were in the "common area"... More

Having been travelling for almost 2 months this hostel was different from any that i had stayed at before. It was something new and exciting because it was more like camping outside than staying in rooms. The hostel was basically a number of outdoor treehouse dorms that were really nice! The beds were a good size and they came with... More

I stayed here for a few nights while in Luang Prabang. I was with a group of people I had met who had stayed in SpicyThai and loved it so we headed for here after getting off the slow boat. I prefer to get a private room when I was travelling. I got one here and it was hideous. I... More

People staying in huts outdoors - feels like camping. Much more geared for younger people to stay here, party atmosphere and very laid back. Always people lying about in the common area chatting. Free WiFi. Drawbacks - outdoors so the Wildlife was hard to handle (gigantic spiders, cockroaches and millions of ants in our room.
